The Ways of The World Are All By Choice

From greed, to shifting power, to dismantling our very rights afforded to us by the constitution, to

ripping children from their parents' arms is all be design. The act of cruelty was the finish line, not a line in the matrix. You see, we could go way back to the days of slavery for this opt ed piece, and that would be a fair point. However, the other big picture that constantly stairs back at us is that odd defiance. The ways in which America is still not willing to accept that this country's issues are deeply ingrained because that's the way America really feels about its citizens. The ease it is to be an American President destroying every fabric of normalcy on purpose because more than half of this nation despises you, and for the highest courts in the land to literally let you get away with what your heart's desire is troubling to its core. But rest assure, it's not only America, it's all over. Case in point, what is happening in Gaza. How Palestinian children are being starved to death, and how the government is accepting this. But there is a deep pattern here no matter what political side you fall on. It seems that those who are in power seem to do the most damage when they have said power. Forget the fact you were voted in. Or the fact that you are looked at as a leader. No. That all gores out the window and the vision of being a tyrant takes precedent. At least that's what I see. So many lives have been silenced due to someone's inability to do the right thing. It feels as if there is a mortal complex that happens when we give those in higher positions power that can make or break you. It feels as if the lies we've been told of doing the hard work and heavy lifting will somehow equate to a better life for us and our family. Truth is, it was a lie. We see in real time that destroying others for personal gain is a winning strategy. If it wasn't then the government who's sworn to protect its citizens would not let corruption be the name of the game. But they do because they too benefit. Until we see a shift, this will be the new normal, and I hope the shift is sooner rather than later.
